DaMinyan Shabbaton  - Rabbi Schochet is returning! 

We are pleased to confirm that a DaMinyan Friday night Shabbaton with Rabbi Dr. J. Immanuel Schochet PhD, will now take place on Friday night 7th of May , 2010.

The Shabbaton promises to be an enthralling and challenging exploration of Jewish themes.    Rabbi Shochet, a world-renoued orator and educator is famous for posing intriguing and relevant questions about issues that affect all of us. There is lots to be taken from such a rare opportunity and it should not be missed!

The Friday evening will take place in the Caulfield Shule Hall (not the Shule) and will consist of Mincha, followed by Maariv and a 4 course dinner,  which will be catered by Ungers Catering.

The cost for the Friday night dinner is as follows:

DaMinyan members                   $35 per head

Non Members                           $45 per head

Children aged 5-15                    $15 per head

Dear Members,

The Daminyan AGM will be held on Thursday 20^th November 2008 at the Kahn’s (103 Hotham Street) at 8:30 pm.

The following is a list of positions that are available and a brief job description is provided. However, roles of all committee members are not restricted to the description provided.  Each committee member is required to work together for the betterment of Daminyan to make it grow and be successful.  Additionally, the Committee is responsible to meet once a month.

Prospective Candidates should not put themselves forward for a position if they are not willing to devote sufficient time and effort to carry out their duties and general shul commitments.  Furthermore, only fully paid members will be eligible to nominate for a position and vote.

Prospective Candidates should nominate which position they would like to run for by emailing elections@daminyan.com.  Applications will be accepted until Sunday 16^th November, 2008.  Additionally, you can only nominate for one position.
